Ugra Timber Holding occupies the leading positions in the wood industry of Khanty-Mansiysky Region.
In the present day market conditions, an enterprise can be competitive only due to high technology production, quick turnover, consolidation of professional resources, and ability to promptly respond to market demands. These are the fundamental principles of UTH management.
Experienced managers were invited from different regions of Russia to work in UTH; this allowed creating an efficient system of large wood industry enterprises management.
The major strategic concern of the Holding is implementation of the principle of “economies at a manufacturing scale”, which means reduction of expenses at particular enterprises.
These objectives have shaped the following activity priorities:
- forming-up a budgetary policy “expenses should not exceed profits”; expenses control;
- introduction of high tech solutions into production processes;
- well-balanced raw material policy development;
- development of a correct price policy favourable conditions for product distribution.
Today, Ugra Timber Holding has achieved a set of goals, such as managerial system development, budgetary policy elaboration, reaching of higher production and distribution standards. Manufacturing process consolidation and pooling of capital revealed financial resources of the plants, defined the best ways of their use. Introduction and following the “closed cycle” model as UTH management strategy means systematic approach to production cycle organization (from harvesting to sawing and transporting to customers) and launching of new engineered wood production facilities.
