The
Summit took place in Khanty-Mansyisk as the part of VII General Assembly international association “The Northern Forum” with a motto “Partnership for the sake of a progress”.
Representatives of business cycles from Canada, Finland, United States, China, Japan, Russia, directors of Russian and foreign Chambers of Commerce and Industry, representatives of government authorities took part in the meeting. JSC “Ugra Timber Holding” – is one of Russian Business - partners of “The Northern Forum”.
On the
Summit opening- Ugra Governor, Chairman of “The Northern Forum” Alexander Filipenko noted that partnership between regional governments and representatives of the business- society establishes the situation on the territory and is very important for a foundation of necessary conditions for people’s living.
After the plenary sitting participants continued the discussion of common for
northern territories questions connected with building of comfortable housing and creation of advanced municipal infrastructure. General Director of JSC “LVL-Ugra” Petr Zakharov came forward with a report about a frame house building. He told about the activity of Ugra Timber Holding and noted that the separated line for house building opened in April on LVL-Ugra plant is capace to produce 9 – 10 thousand of meter quadro up to the end of this year (planned capacity is 40 000 q.m).
One of the most important goals of plant is to give into the installed capacity on next year. This will allow the building of 200 houses. At this moment plant materials are used for erection of objects in Khanty-Mansyisk, Agirish, Seliyarovo, Priobie. LVL-Stroyproekt- one of the Holding department – is realizing the project of frame-house building.
The Executive Director of «The Northern Forum”- Priscilla Wohl noted on the meeting with Governor that the business trip to Canada in November 2007 for delegation of Ugra Timber Holding will be organized with the support of Association- purpose of visit-is an investigation of advanced harvesting and wood- processing technologies. Ms.Wohl underlined-that one of the main issues of “The Northern Forum”- it`s the expansion of relations between the business-partners of different countries and information support.
