Summit took place in Khanty-Mansyisk as the part of VII General Assembly international association āThe Northern Forumā with a motto āPartnership for the sake of a progressā.Ā
Representatives of business cycles from Canada, Finland, United States, China, Japan, Russia, directors ofĀ Russian and foreign Chambers of Commerce and Industry, representatives of government authorities took part in the meeting. JSC āUgra Timber Holdingā ā is one of Russian Business - partners of āThe Northern Forumā.Ā

Summit opening- Ugra Governor, Chairman of āThe Northern Forumā Alexander Filipenko noted that partnership between regional governments and representatives of the business- society establishes the situation on the territory and is very important for a foundation of necessary conditions for peopleās living.Ā
After the plenary sitting participants continued the discussion of common for
northern territories questions connected with building of comfortable housing and creation of advanced municipal infrastructure. General Director of JSC āLVL-Ugraā Petr Zakharov came forward with a report about a frame house building. He told about the activity of Ugra Timber Holding and noted thatĀ the separated line for house building opened in April on LVL-Ugra plant is capace to produce 9 ā 10 thousand ofĀ meter quadro up to the end of this year (planned capacity is 40Ā 000 q.m).Ā
One of the most important goals of plant is to give into the installed capacity on next year. This will allow the building of 200 houses. At this moment plant materials are used for erection of objects in Khanty-Mansyisk, Agirish, Seliyarovo, Priobie.Ā LVL-Stroyproekt- one of the Holding department ā is realizing the project of frame-house building.Ā Ā
The Executive Director of Ā«The Northern Forumā- Priscilla Wohl noted on the meeting with Governor that the business trip to Canada in November 2007Ā forĀ delegation of Ugra Timber Holding will be organized with the support of Association- purpose of visit-is anĀ investigation ofĀ advancedĀ harvesting andĀ wood- processing technologies. Ms.Wohl underlined-that one of the main issues of āThe Northern Forumā- it`s the expansion of relations between the business-partners of different countries and information support.
