LVL-Ugra (Ugra Timber Holding member company) plans to begin assembly and start-up of equipment for frame housebuilding in the first decade of February 2007. According to the General Director of Ugra Timber Holding Mr. Yuri Kraev, a German company Homag GUS has already imported to the Russian Federation necessary equipment, which will be delivered to Nyagan in a week.
"Assembly of the equipment at LVL-Ugra will be completed by mid-April. In 2007, we plan to produce 20 thousand cub. m of residential houses ", - mentions Mr. Kraev.
At the present time, the Holding has a number of requests for construction of frame houses in the Sovetsky Region and Nyagan. In the long view, LVL-Ugra plans to produce up to 80 thousand cub. m of housing per year.
For the frame housebuilding project Ugra Timber Holding has attracted a loan from Khanty-Mansyisky Bank in the amount of 121,5 million rubles. The preliminary pay-back period of the project will constitute about four years.
Ugra Timber Holding was established in February 2004 upon the initiative of the Government of KhMAR holding 100% shares of the company. The Holding comprises such mills as LVL-Ugra, Ugra Saw Mills, LVL-Stroyproekt and Ugratransservice.
