Since the incorporation of Ugra Timber Holding, it has shown a considerable growth of production and financial indicators at all subdivisions of the Holding.
So, export timber output at saw mills in the Sovetsky Region was increased for the three-year period by 22% from 166,1 thousand cub. m in 2004 up to 201,8 thousand cub. m in 2006.
LVL-Ugra located in Nyagan almost doubled laminated veneer lumber output for the period from 2004 through 2006 (from 10,3 thousand cub. m up to 20,133 thousand cub. m).
In general, the Holding’s profit for 2006, constitutes, according to preliminary data, 52 million 420 thousand rubles, which is almost four times more than scheduled indicators. Sales revenues for the past year are 1 billion 389 million rubles, which is by 53% higher than the level of 2005.
Moreover, last year Ugra Timber Holding was the first enterprise in the Khanty-Mansyisk Autonomous Region that introduced a modern technology of short log logging on an industrial scale. Use of the world leading manufacturers’ logging equipment has allowed to perform summer logging works, which were last performed in the region in early 90s. Economic effect of introduction of the modern logging technology constitutes about 30 million rubles.
In 2007, the company plans to keep the growth rates. The scheduled level of sales revenues in 2007 will make 1 billion 622,5 million rubles, which is 16,8% more than the last year indicators. This year the company will continue implementing the investment project "Factory-Manufactured Fast Constructed Frame Houses of LVL Elements" on the basis of LVL-Ugra mill. Also, it is planned to launch new investment projects. In particular, organization of sawn goods production in Nyagan with the capacity of 100 thousand cub. m per year with further utilization and recycling of industrial wastes for generation of heat and electric power.
Ugra Timber Holding was established in February 2004 upon the initiative of the Government of KhMAR holding 100% shares of the company. The Holding comprises such mills as LVL-Ugra, Ugra Saw Mills, LVL-Stroyproekt and Ugratransservice.
