Logging production modernization project (change-over to short wood logging technology)
In 2005, Ugra Timber Holding acquired 12 sets of modern logging equipment (harvesters VOLVO and forwarders Ponsse). Introduction of high-tech equipment will allow to successfully implement change-over to short wood logging technology, and significantly increase level of performance volumes.
The project is being implemented in accordance with the “Regional timber industry development and reorganization programme”.
Particleboard mill construction project
In July 2005, Ugra government, “Ugra Timber Holding” and German company "Binos Technologies Gmbh & Co.KG" signed a memorandum of understanding for a particleboard mill construction.
New production facilities with capacity of 150 000 - 200 000 m3/year, including 130 000 m3 of filmed products, will be constructed in Sovetsky district of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Region.
Year of project completion — 2007.
Frame houses production plant construction
In 2005, “LVL-Stroyproekt” Ltd. was started on the basis of “LVL-Ugra” JSC. LVL-Stroyproekt is specializing in frame wood housing, erection of hall-type buildings, sport constructions, production of trusses, floor panels, beams, bridges, etc., which represent the most effective applications of LVL.
Design works are performed with the help of modern software like CAD WORK and RSTAB.
The first in Russia and CIS countries LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) mill
In September 2003, the first in Russia and CIS countries LVL mill “LVL-Ugra” started its operation. Design capacity of the mill is 39 000 m3/year.
The factory is equipped with modern equipment Raute (Finland), LVL production line is fully computerized.
The mill’s construction was performed in the framework of the “Regional timber industry development and reorganization programme”.
The total amount of funds invested into this project is 40 mln. USD.
